Reece Oxford
Just great to have the captain of England U17s in our ranks, with Reece Burke a mainstay of the U19s.

Would love a decent home draw in the FA Cup next Monday.

Good Reece Oxford piece here...

The future is bright for us at centre-back. Still think Leo Chambers will make it too.

Nice to see but I remember as much hype about Jordan Spence.

Re: Reece Oxford
What about Onoriase. He's a player. Goes under the radar a bit with Burke and Oxford around but he's got a future in the game.

Re: Reece Oxford
Josh Pask is also in great form this season 4 very good centre halfs coming through at the same time.

we also have 3 decent left backs in Lewis Page, Vashon and Oscar Borg but the latter is more of a left winger, plus we still have Dan Potts.

at right back we have Kyle Knowle who is currently out injured, but has played for England, Chambers comes back from injury this week as well

and we have 2 of the best goalkeepers i have seen in 17 year old Sam Howes & 15 year old Mitchell Ware

future is looking good

I thought it was accepted that Oxford's Mum has him signing for some so-called big club when he turns 16.
Good that we have other prospects emerging

Re: Reece Oxford
Manchester City are stepping up their interest in West Ham United's Reece Oxford, sources have told ESPN FC.

Oxford became West Ham's youngest ever player earlier this season when he made his debut, aged 16 years and 198 days, in the Europa League qualifying tie with FC Lusitanos in July.

The following month, he faced Arsenal, becoming the second youngest player to start a Premier League game, at 16 years and 237 days.

Oxford, who can play in central defence or as a defensive midfielder, has made a total of nine appearances for West Ham this season, but his recent outings have been restricted to late cameos from the bench.

Sources have told ESPN FC that while Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool have all been keeping tabs on the England under-17 international, City are determined to steal a march on their rivals, although West Ham are currently reluctant to sell.

City are keen to bring the best young talent to the club to stay ahead of their rivals and boost their home-grown quota as they prepare for life next season under incoming new manager Pep Guardiola.

City have made no secret of their desire to begin developing their own players, having launched the City Football Academy at a cost of around £200 million in December 2014.

However, ESPN FC was told earlier this month that a number of youngsters at the club are stalling on signing scholarship deals as they fear their pathway to first-team football at the club will be blocked.

"Be mugs if lose him"

Why? How is he any different to any other player?

Huffers 1:16 Thu Feb 25
Re: Reece Oxford
I'm told he is expecting to feature in the first team on a regular basis next season or he will ask to leave. Hopefully not true. Came from the guy who drives him around.

Re: Reece Oxford
Be more a case that he'd be a mug if he left.

He wouldn't even get a starting game for Villa at the moment, so not really sure what his old girl wants other than a load of cash!!

Only 17 for fucks sake, so I'd look to loan him out next season to gain experience.

whufcroe 1:17 Thu Feb 25
Re: Reece Oxford
To feature in the first team he's going to have to show he's better than Collins, Tomkins, Ogbonna, Reid and Burke.

He's not doing that for my money

Next season he really needs to go on loan but doesn't seem keen on that either.

'Came from the guy who drives him around.'

Nail on the head of everything that's wrong with football right there. No wonder him and his family are too fucking big for their boots and allegedly making stupid demands and ultimatums.

He should be cycling or catching public transport to training and cleaning boots.
